Hi,
Can't seem to find out much about this flash unit. Basically I have been offered a used Bowens Pioneer S1 flash unit and want to know whether it would work ok with my Nikon D200.
I currently use a couple of SB600's but this seemed a useful solution when a bit more power is needed (plus I don't have to pay much for it).
Any info/advice greatly appreciated.

It's very powerful and I would guess quite hard to control. Specialist kit for lighting large areas at distance I imagine. It will work fine, but I would much rather have an SB900 which would make a superb strobist outfit with your two SB600 guns.
 
Thanks for the info. I am only considering this because I am being offered one at a very low price....an SB900 would be nice but would cost me more...
