I am looking to buy a pair of Bowens Gemini 500R monolights, I am starting to do quite a few portraits now and location work.

A concern of mine is no cooling fan, I also have an Kenro flash transmitter, is this OK with these lights.

all replies welcomed.

Many thanks.

We've got the 3 head 500r kit at work and I've used it non stop all day it hour issues shooting products etc.
Not sure about the trigger as I got a second hand bowens one from mpb. If the trigger has a short lead on it, you might consider velcroing it to the light handle, as I left mine dangling and eventually the leads splits/wears.

:plusone: I too use 500r's, On for hours on end & NEVER had any overheating problems or indeed any other problems with the heads, Lots of Bowens & or course other makes also run for hours without fans & without problems.

As the others I have 500R's and can have them banging away all day with no issues :)
