Hi guys,

Had some Bowens 200's before in a studio but am looking at some 400's for the new studio but really can't see much of a difference between the 400's and the 400Rx's. Am i missing something? Saving £100 on them if I go for the 400's.

Anyone have experience of comparing them?

Thanks,

Iain

The 400Rx appears to be a slightly newer version that includes a pulsar receiver, unless you want the receiver I see no good reason to spend the extra.

I have both - had the 400rx first and preferred them due to the Pulsar receiver - and then when I needed/wanted more lights.. just bought couple of 400 and using them on the sensor/slave to be triggered.
As for any difference between the two models.. not really that much in practical terms, in my opinion.
If you don't already have triggers for the lights.. go for the 400rx as you get your Pulsar with them.. if you already have PW's (or similar) to trigger the lights.. then maybe save the £100 and get the pair of 400 ones?
