Well after much deliberation, I bought an M5 mirrorless this morning.
Had to travel but for what I paid I'm extremely happy.
Got the full kit, a Lowepro case that's just made for it, 2 filters and a memory card, and it looks completely unused.
First impressions are how much smaller and lighter it is to my 7D and 5D.
Currently charging up and tonight I'll go through the menu (I'm a bloke don't need manuals LOL)
When I've used it I'll put a little review on.

When I first took my Panasonic G1 out instead of my canon 5D I honestly had to keep checking the bag to make sure it was still in there, such was the difference.

I hope you'll be very happy with your new buy :D

I bought an M5 last year. I also have a 5D(iv).

I love the M5, it's the one I reach for, not because it's a better camera than the 5D, it's not but it suits what I do more of better, especially for carrying to and from wildlife locations. The 5D goes on landscape trips and if I'm pretty sure of a wildlife shot, the 5D comes with me but for general, everyday walkabouts and sussing out new wildlife locations, the M5 is very handy to have, just in case.

The M5 is a lovely camera, with a lovely sensor, same as the 80D and the bang for the buck is enormous. Expose it properly and it will perform at higher ISOs too, something I struggled with when I had a 7D.

My plan was when the R7 was released, to sell mt 7D, Fuji X-T10 and some Fuji lenses as well as the M5. I sold the lot, excpet the M5 and I can't see me parting with it. When I get my R7, which will be to 'replace' the M5, I will still keep the M5 and then use it as a walkabout, with a Sigma 17-70. The M5 really has suprised me.

Enjoy it, I don't think you'll be at all disappointed. (y)

Thanks Dale.
Looking at the feature set the M5 has, will probably never use most of it, but nice to know it's there.
I don't normally use video, but might give it a go.
I will enjoy it, but............isn't it small?

Nice.
I have a similiar thing on my 7D from Three Legged Thing.
Very easy to swap between l/scape and portrait on a tripod.
Arca mount I think
Yours looks made for the M5 with the contour on the grip end
