Hi all, i went to the Nikon EXPO day the other week and took a few shots of Katie, she was Nikons model for the day.I got talking with a guy from Liverpool and he let me borrow his lens.As i am new to photography all i have is the 18-135mm and my nifty 50 1.8f which arrived 2 days ago.The lens i borrowed was huge in comparison.I just basically wanted to know if this lens was a worth while investment.

NIKON 70-200mm F/2.8 G ED-IF AF-S VR LENS

I think it's the same one i borrowed.
Please forgive if it's a stupid question...there's so much to learn.

Oh,can someone please help me in uploading a picture from the day i took with the borrowed lens.

Hi Lee

This lens is probably one of the best all rounders that Nikon make at the minute. The ED glass is superb - I have never once had any chromatic abberations. The VR function is very good - especially when hanging onto the side of a RIB speedboat in choppy waters!

Weather sealed, internal focus and a good range on it.

It's never really off my camera ;)

This is probably more useful help - more visual aid. :)
