Yes
I bought myself an electric toothbrush the other day and its got some ****** 2 prong plug on it?? I've got no idea what it is, or where I'm meant to put it. I think it might be one of those shaver ones but we don't have them plus i don't want it charging in the bathroom as some people don't put the bog seat down

can anyone link me up to an adaptor/converter so i can charge it in my room with a normal socket?

:bang:

oh and it says its 250volt and i live in the UK so it must run on UK sockets ;)

Most electric toothbrushes only have 2 prongs on the plug as they are designed to plug into shaver sockets. Boots, Wilkinsons, or any supermarket should sell what you are looking for.

Cut it off and put a 3 pin plug on it. Put a 3 amp fuse in it though.

Without trying to sound condescending, I'd like to see the average yoof of today try wire a mains plug.

As I'm 30 I don't know if I count as yoof but have done it a few times - essential when feeding a cable through a brick wall...

We were taught how to do it at high school - although I had been doing it myself since I was five!

We were as well (I'm 27), and I was the only one in a class of 30 that could do it before the teacher showed us. Someone even did it wrong, plugged it in and tripped all of the electrics in the whole block :D

Happy days

You could do that , but you would void the warrentee. Last adaptor i brought cost my around 32p trade price. Which was about the same price as the plug.

Not if it failed somewhere other than at the plug.

I put a three pin plug on mine and I couldn't really care less about the warranty. If it went wrong within the warranty period I would probably not be able to find the paperwork anyway - assuming I even kept it!
