My photographic bug has legged it !!

I need help PDQ, :shrug:

I picked the camera up today and couldn't manage a decent shot!!!

I have even tried the new bits approach to try and re ignite the spark.....but so far no good.

I looked at changing my 20D for a 30d and have since had a play with a 5d and a 1d N and all i manged to buy was another QR plate for my tripod so i can leave one on the lens and one on the body.

What do you do when you lose interest :help:

In the current heatwave my enthusiasm only goes as far as the fridge for a cold lager :)

Not picked up my camera much lately either - but that will change. just need people to post really bad macros so i can go out and do better :lol:
 
I'm feeling a bit like that just now as well. Honestly don't remember the last time I took the camera out just for the sake of it.
 
if you don't go out you can't take pics, even if you go into the garden you have picture opportunity
 
I lost the bug totally for a few years. It was going away to the Western Isles for the first time that re-inspired me I must admit, and admittedly that might be a little extreme for most people!!

If it were me I think I'd adopt the approach that there was no point in forcing it - the bug will return in its own good time. Why not go through some old shots - seeing stuff you've been pleased with previously might get the instincts stirring again?

Either way - no point stressing about it. :bang:
 
I went out looking for bugs earlier on, to tryand get a few images with the macro but nothing...nada.....zip

that just added to the why? feeling :(

I can't remember the last time I took an image that made me think wow....and seeing some of the posted images on here isn't doing me much good.

I think i'll have to start banning those members who post excellent pictures :naughty:

I have a spare ticket for a nude (female) model shoot coming up.......don't suppose you are interested are you?
 
Only if i can leave the 20d at home and bring the dv camcorder :D

it was probably the best chance of me getting a 1d too :(
 
I think you'd be even more depressed in the end with a purchase of that cost. You'd just feel extra guilty for spending all that money and not using it.

When I felt like this I just booked the afternoon off, grabbed the camera and went for a nice country walk. I didn't bring back anything brilliant photowise but I did bring back some ideas that have resulted in my favourite photo. Classic case of, that was ok but it would have been better like XYZ.
