Off to see Bon Jovi tomorrow night. I'm guessing the parking is ok, yeh? Any chance I could sneak my camera and 70-300 in?:lol:
 
parking at Murrayfield uswed to be a nightmare, if you used the official car park. Not sure about now havnt been for a few years and good luck with the camera :naughty:
 
I wouldn't risk it with the camera personally. Take a compact if you want to, but go and enjoy the show :)

No clue about parking sorry.
As for taking in yout DSLR...I wouldn't risk it. Gutting tho it is, it really isn't worth the risk. Unless you are going to be stuck right in the middle of the stadium so less likely to be seen, you still have to get it in the stadium...very unlikely IMO.
I wouldn't take the risk personally.
 
You wont get in with a DSLR without a pass, no exceptions.
I had a pass at one venue and still wasnt allowed it in.. Go figure.

Well it would have been nice but I guess not. I'll take the binocs instead:)
 
Theres all the side streets around gorgie if you dont mind a 5-10 min walk, as I said its been a while sine I lived in Edinburgh so not best placed to advise sorry.
 
I went to a (smallish) gig last weekend and security stopped me taking my 50D into the hall, because "we don't allow big cameras in the hall...it's a charity event and you can take decent pictures with that". Obviously nobody had told them that all the people at the front using various 4/3rds and compacts (and even a bloke with a 350D !!) could take decent pictures as well.
 
I've taken a DSLR in to concerts in the days when they used to search you as you went in

200mm lens down the pants, they never search that close :D
 
Well I went last night and what a terrific band they are. 2 1/2 hours solid playing and singing. :eek: I reckon I could have slipped the camera in. They searched the wifes bag but didn't look at me. I could have got it in under my jacket. Thing is, I watched one guy using a small bridge camera video two or three full songs. I'll need to check out U tube.:) Oh, and parking was crap. Had to park about a mile away.:(
 
glad you enjoyed it, I'v seen them a couple of times and they have always been worth the ticket price. Parking sucks in Edinburgh in general and Murrayfield area is as bad as the city center.
