Hi Guys,

I am due to go to Tunisia on Monday and following today's worrying bombings my wife thinks we should cancel. Having contacted TUI we've been told we'll be advised by tomorrow evening whether we've to travel. I also tried to contact our insurers who unfortunately are closed.

Anyone had a similar experience and what options if any were you given? We went to Tunisia in April and had a ball and I for one am not too worried about today's events but my wife seems rattled and is almost certain she doesnt want to travel.

With time running out i thought I'd ask here.

Here is the official .gov site........that AFAIK travel insurers (and tour operators?) rely on!

HTH and whatever you do be safe.

This, I think if the government advise travelling then you can probably cancel and get money back, not sure about cancelling if it's ok.

My thoughts would be about lightning striking twice! These sort of attacks could happen anywhere, London, Madrid, Corfu... they have happened today in Tunisia, does that make it more or less likely Tunisia will again be a target?

Totally agree mate and i am not worried particularly but the wife really is this time. I should know what is happening by tomorrow afternoon/evening so we'll just need to wait and see. Hopefully nothing more happens. Really feel for the Tunisian people as most have been lovely. They really rely on tourists and this stuff does exactly what these idiots want and disrupts tourism. Fingers crossed we'll get to go.

Lightning already struck twice.
38 tourists were killed by terrorists in Tunisia in 2015.
If your wife is deeply concerned and really doesn't want to go, I hardly think she'll enjoy the holiday anyway.

Maybe. We'll see how she feels in the morning. She loved it in April despite the previous attacks but this one seems to have gotten under her skin despite it not being aimed at tourists. If we can cancel we probably will. Shame.

why the f*** would you book a holiday to Tunisia?

fill yer boots folks
they kill infidels there

Why the f*** would you come onto this thread and say that?
Because London and Paris were fully booked !!
I was waiting on silly replies mate. I have not long returned from there in one piece.
Because you won't be there?
Just like in London but with better weather and prettier beaches.
And less diesel fumes
Hush, son.....the grown-ups are talking.

A bit of decorum please, the professional ( https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/t...being-british-when-abroad.697358/post-8461283) has spoken. ;)
