Yes
Just a heads up
I have had a couple of texts recently from an unknown number advising me that my boiler service is due.
The text gives the impression that the people have been before and that the text has been sent to a wrong number so your first thought is to reply saying this is the case-if you get one of these DONT REPLY
A reverse number search shows the number is based in Russia so do not reply as you are only confirming that your phone number is live which is of course what they want

Thx for the heads up.....

Though FWIW any calls or texts (rarely see if ever unknown texts), if it is unknown or apparently spurious I ignore or block as needed. NB any companies I/we have dealings with has our email and postal address.....so they can b***dy well write to us.

Unless I can identify the origin of the number I treat it/them as nothing more than spam.

PS in the case of calls to my mobile, if no message left I look them up and most if not all of late turn (by online reports) out to be a company representing Carphone Warehouse.......with some atrocious behaviour by the person calling!!!

PPS my OH may have her phone number associated with our utility suppliers, so I will forewarn her to watch out for such texts.
