Yeah yeah yeah, I know selfie sticks. But hear me out.

I’m off to Japan for a month next year and I’m thinking do as the locals do. I’ll be taking my Fuji kit but I’ll also have my iPhone.

I see that there are a number of selfie sticks out there that have a Bluetooth remote and tripod feature. Joby do a very nice on, but is a shade under £100.

Anyone had any experience with these things or have any recommendations?

If you want to know what simple plain selfie sticks are like in practice they're often on sale in charity shops for around £2. If your mobile has the "shoot when smile detected" feature you can do without the bluetooth (or wired) shutter connection.
