Morning all, anyone spotted any bluebells about in the Bristol/Somerset area yet?

Cheers!

Depending what side of Bristol you are, I know of a few locations nearer Swindon and the other side. The bluebells are just starting to flower, give it 2 weeks and it'll be a blanket of purple.

Haven't seen any yet

Here's a map of some (ignore the police car one!): http://www.shothotspot.com/hotspots...blue+bell,+bluebells,+blue+bells#.UX-gTcpvCvo

The nearest place I can see is Chippeneham. After that it's Daffy Copse, just south of Swindon. After that you're down in Wiscombe Wood in Devon.

If that's Wiscombe Park near Honiton, this weekend has a hill climb there - well worth the trip even if the bluebells aren't out (which they should be!).

Near Bristol? Well, a little to the South East of Bath there were some at the weekend. Not 100% sure of the exact location since I was driving to get there then a passenger on a pre-set route.

Badbury Clump near Faringdon Oxfordshire is exactly what you asked for. Last week they were out but a bit thin. Im off to check them again tomorrow

I was there on Sunday and Today, they are out in mass amounts! They are also out in West Woods, but I prefer the spread and compositions available at Badbury Clump.

Just done a crazy day of bluebells. Daffy Cops looks great, maybe give it a few more days until they peak. The area is vast so it is nice to know where to set up for sunsrise instead of walking up and down.

Bristol / Leigh woods are looking quite nice too. Just beware of ticks. I found one tonight from somewhere, but luckily wasn't bitten by the devil.
