I was looking at some images on here a while back, can’t find the thread in question (Silly me, never subscribed) but they were photographs of a lake with a real cold blue feeling to them which I would like to try.

My question is this, is this purely down to the light (Guessing very early morning late at night, crisp/clear air?) how this effect is achieved or is it enhanced with a certain filter or in PP?

Sorry I can’t find the example but hopefully you get what I mean

Cheers All

Or you could use manual white balance to change the colour temperature.

Thanks Gents thats great

Depends what you want. Shadows are naturally blue compared to lit areas, especially so in winter time and early/late evening.

Might help linking to an example of what you're after?

I have just found something on Digital camera website, exactly what I am looking for - This suggest the tungsten light setting (I wasn't being lazy btw I did look around before I posted here :D)

Cheers again guys
