Hi,

I am suddenly getting new subscribers to my blog which I would not expect to be getting. I haven't posted anything new for a while so I'm not sure where they are coming from.

What makes me particularly suspicious is that their email addresses are all in a very similar format, and all ..........@outlook.com.

I guess this is some kind of scam; how should I put a stop to it?

Install Wordfence plug in monitor your logs and block any ips you don't want visiting your site..you will be surprised at how many hits your site is getting from spam harvesters and hackers trying to access your port etc..your website could also be being used on an ip list for spamvertising..wordfence is free to install basic version is really good or you can purchase the full version and you can block ips by country and do so much more etc..

As minimum you should really have wordfence installed for security and firewalling your website...what security measures do you have in place at the mo? maybe what you have is no longer working and perhaps best to revisit it if you are getting lots of spam..ps I don't work for wordfence but have found it invaluable..
