not sure that would help, after all whats stopping them plugging a different phone in..

make them pay for the bill, that should stop them :D
Cant really make 2 unemployed kids contribute if they dont have the money

BT offer this service, scroll down to 'call barring':

Plusnet seem to have the same problem as Sky, but are doing something about it.

Phone wise, look for one with a keypad lock.
Try this link:

Just came across this:

Ive got a Sky line so the BT option is no good

They don't HAVE to ring mobiles from a landline. It's much, much cheaper to ring a mobile from another mobile anyway. Give them a small PAYG credit allowance to cover necessary calls to mobiles ie to find work not to yap on to their friends or whatever they were doing.

If the landline bill still has their unnecessary calls on it then they don't eat or you sell their stuff to pay for it or they do chores until they have earned enough to pay it back. They need to learn responsibility. Having no money doesn't give you the right to run up bills willy nilly and expect someone else to pay for it. You pay your own way.

Pray do tell, where is this strange land you live in where its OK to starve them and make them do chores

Worst thing is they are 21 and 18

Then they're grown ups. They pay their way and do as they're asked or they can live elsewhere!

They'll only be starved if they run up another bill after you've told them quite clearly they aren't to use the landline for mobile calls. They may complain about the living conditions and move out so either way you win :D

And three are doing really, really cheap PAYG rates now: http://www.three.co.uk/Store/Pay_As_You_Go_Price_Plans

So my other options are no use to you?

Looks like you don't really want help, just an excuse to complain.

Commtel Phone Guard will do the job and isn't bypassed by the type of phone. However these seem to be scarcer than rocking horse poo due to Sky subscribers buying them all.

WTF, give me a bleedin minute to look over the other options, how quick do you want me to be, we dont all suffer from premature ejaculation.

I suggest they get a job, problem solved.

Or make the only phone in your house a wireless one and hide it where only you and the Mrs know where it is?

Can't they use Skype/Facebook to contact their mates for free?

more than likely cheaper to get them a contract phone with unlimited calls and texts may keep costs down also will give you piece of mind they can contact you should they need to.
