Blending modes

Has anyone got any good links to what the various Blending Modes are (Screen, Multiply etc), how they are used and when best to use them. I know nothing about them and want to learn what sort of images they can be applied to step by step processes and what sort of results I can expect, so ideally some before and after type shots if possible!

It's one major feature of photoshop that I never use :embarrassed: I know I should, but I dont.

Take yourself down to your local newsagent or WHSmith, and get your hands on this months 'Digital Camera' (July 2007) there's a big 4-6 page article about blending and its various modes. At only 3.99 you cant go wrong, and I do belive there may well be tutorials and vids on the CD enclosed.
