Guys

Some of my images have pretty boring skies, so i have been importing skies to try and give them more appeal, the process of importing the sky i have cracked, however to blend the sky in the with ground is causing a problem, at the moment they do not look real, does anyone have a tutorial or can give me some pointers as to blend i the two.

Thanks Mike :Ponders:

when you say they don't look real is it that theres a hard edge between your new sky and the ground? If its that then all you need do is feather the selection when your selecting your sky.

An even better way is to turn your selection into a quick mask by clicking the quickmask icon at the bottom of the main toolbar.

Apply some gaussian blur to the quick mask.
This method takes the guesswork out of the feathering...you can see the effect of the blur on the mask then switch back to normal selection button by clicking the adjacent icon on the toolbar. 1-3 pixels should be enough.

It also helps to sometimes change the hue of your foreground image to better match the lighting conditions suggested by your new sky to make it more convincing.
