You're going to be grading the footage even if you opt for ProRes.
I bought one when they slashed the prices last Summer. Really good image quality, but I eventually sold it as it didn't suit my needs. I felt that the camera was actually too small, you need to rig it up to get some stable handheld footage. The rolling shutter doesn't help that either. Because the camera is so small, the battery is too so you need to add a power bank to it if you don't want to be swapping batteries all the time. You'll need an external mic as well as an external recorder as the preamps are pretty noisy, however the built in audio is usable if you just want some environmental sounds. Getting wide angles is hard without using a Speedbooster (which is a must in my eyes). So for me, by that point I may as well have used a A7s, a GH4, or a D750 since the larger bodies wouldn't make much of a difference if it'll be rigged up or locked down on a tripod. The more ergonomic design of those cameras make them easier to use as is too. The image you get from the BMPCC is absolutely stunning though, well worth the extra you have to spend on storage. I'd recommend it if you have time to set up all your shots, but if you're working more spontaneously then look elsewhere.
