I photogrpahed three football matches today... this happened once early this mornign to about 6 pictures (ina row but not a burst.. so did it for 6 diff pics then stopped doing it) . different line sizes.. then didnt happen again all day.. talking maybe another 1 thousand pics

I am photogrpahing to two cards at same time and its on both.. so not the card

Doesn't look good especially if it's doing it randomly with no obvious provocation.
Full reset of camera might be worth trying
 
So no more black lines... But a long days photogrpahy on sunday ended about 4pm when the camera dies... as if battery gone which it hadn't.... dead as a dodo

on investigation i can hear somehting very small rattling about in the camera and after turning it about to listen.. the camera now comes back on

obviously the camera can no longer be trusted :(

Not good news! Sounds like major surgery could be required with a significant part or two???

Hopefully a manageable cost once examined!

Probably not going to bother :(

The chances are the price to fix will gte close the the cameras worth.. Its had a hard life... battered and bruised ... MPB are selling simmilar at £695 not that I would buy one ...I have a spare 1dx as when i bought the 1dxII i decided not to trade in as i usually do.. again because its worth in money wasnt half as much as i felt it was worth being such a good camera.. so I ended up wiht two 1dx ..one as spare and a 1dxii ...so a 1dx for behind the goals or just sat wiht hardly used 24-70

Thus as it turns on will relegate to behind the goals camera nothing else

Am sending off my other 1dx today to get new shutter clean and service.. its not gone but also on last legs and give it best chance to keep going for another yr or two

I really dont want to put too much money into photogrpahy nowerdays... supposed to be slowing down.. although you cant tell with 28 jobs this month haha
