Black Friday

NIGHTMARE for me today. Wanted to buy a couple of cheap laptops as viewing stations for the event part of my business.

Went to Argos website, a bit slow but saw a decent enough, low-powered (but sufficient) laptop for £130 ! Thought, great - I'll have 2 of those.

After making me wait 10 minutes via a countdown system, it threw me back to the homepage. Great. Products were still in the "trolley" so I went through it again. ANOTHER 10 minutes.

After all of that, "stock had run out". F.F.S.

Went to Staples - similar laptop, £149 - I thought ok, its £40 in total more for the 2 laptops but job done. Ordered them.

Got an email 20 minutes later saying they would only supply 1 due to demand. Oh F.F.S. again.

Ended up popping onto Amazon, found the same laptop, same model, same price except £5.30 for delivery so got it from there.

Got up this morning spent a penny ,that's my total input to mugs day

They are calling it "Shopper Fatigue". These days I can go online and get shopper fatigue.

But is it cheaper on Black Friday or full price? And does it include delivery? :P

No doubt some things will be more or less full price.

There are some bargains to be had and I think most shoppers are savvy enough these days to know the difference.
I bought 3 things. 1 was £40 off retail (£30 less than previously available), 1 was only about £12 less and the other was less than half price it's been for months. All were items I would be buying anyway so any saving is welcome especially when you go through quidco too.

But was the shopper fatigue reduced in price?

Purely coincidentally, I have ordered a Black Friday deal but would have probably paid full price for the item anyway if I could have found it on the High Street. Saving me a fiver on the usual price after P&P (on a £20 item.)

All done online whilst having my dinner at work, doddle.
