I noticed a few small black dots that show up on pics that I have been taking. These are noticeable when looking through the viewfinder. I have cleaned my lens/sensor yet they are still noticeable. When I swap to a different lens the dots are still visible in the same position so, it is not caused by any dust on the lens. I wondered if there are any common causes for this, and if anyone knows of a decent camera repair/service shop in Hackney/East London that I could take my camera to hopefully get this fixed.

Thanks in advance

There must be two different issues. Marks you can see through the viewfinder must be on either the viewfinder, focus screen or mirror.

Marks on pictures can only be on the sensor.

I suggest buying a rocket blower and giving everything a good blow.

Sounds like some dirt on your sensor  though you mention that you've cleaned your sensor can you post a photo as an example

Looking at the responses so far, I think people are assuming that it's a DSLR. If it was a body with an EVF then it could well be simply sensor contamination.

Well to be fair to myself and the other posters the OP did mention that he had cleaned the sensor already :D so although we maybe shouldn't it's easy to assume with that info that the OPs camera is a DSLR :D

I was imagining a body with EVF and removable lenses....a Nikon V1 for example.
