Black Borders

How do people add the black borders to the pic's they post on here...is it the software you use for editing?

Basically you just increase the canvas size using black as the background colour. The actual mechanics differ slightly depending on which processing package you're using.

Found the 'canvas' tab in the image dropdown in one of the software packages I have so will experiment with different colours and border width.

Paint Shop Pro has a handy little tool for setting up borders and so does Photoshop, but all they're really doing is increasing the canvas size.

I somtimes use this http://www.nsonic-net.de/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=296&Itemid=52 it is in german to start with but its easy to change to english, as CT said you can use various software to do it i also use http://www.faststone.org/ which will add boarders and is a great viewer hope these help
