Is it affected by red light?

As I have just loaded some into my agfa billy which is similar to a Holga in the way it has a red filtered screen at the rear to show the frame number. Will I need to cover this up as I have put some scala in it? I will be developing it the normal black and white negative way.

Thanks

i wouldnt take any black and white film out of a camera with a red safe light on ,so i would cover it ( just to be sure ) and dont develope scala the negative way ,,,coz it aint :D

Ordinary black and white film and colour film works fine in these cameras with red windows at the back. These films are sensitive to red light but the backing paper blocks this.

The only reason I can think of is if you are loading 35mm film into a 120 camera. In which case it should definitely be covered.
