Later this month I have a seat booked on a RIB to follow some J class yachts whilst they are racing in the Solent.

I have two bodies 5DMK11 and 350D and two L lenses 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8 IS

Im wanting to get both full frame yacht images and some closeup's of deck activities.

These yachts are around 120' long and about the same height

Im thinking 70-200 on the 350D crop sensor and 24-70 on the 5D to use lens hoods on both and to waterproof each with nylon & velcro cover

Does anyone have experience of anything similar? - or another way I could approach the day - dont want to be swopping lenses and cant afford to do it twice.

I'd consider a couple of filters on the front to keep spray off the front element as well.
 
David, Stokes is your man, does this all the time.

thanks for the suggestions do have filters fitted on both lenses
