Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my canon 1000d in the next month or so, I don't really have a budget but I will looking at the canon 60d is it worth the upgrade? I'm looking really to go to the next level of photography and I would like video to but it's not a must, could you suggest any good canon cameras I was looking at the 7d but don't really think I want to spend that much, I have all the canon lens so would like to stick with canon. Any advice would be great thanks.

If you can give a bit of detail as to how your current camera is holding you back and the type of pictures you want to take you will get more tailored advice.

Also what lenses do you currently have?

General concenus is to upgrade glass as a first call and upgrade body when it is holding you back. Good glass can always be justified as an investment.

I upgraded from a 400D to a 7D in January.

Posted the same sort of thread as this a few times asking different questions and got a whole load of different items.

I also considered the 60D but as people pointed out, for the extra couple hundred quid, you get a whole lot more camera for your money.

It will of course depend on what sort of photography you're into and what lenses you already have.

For instance, if you're more into portrait stuff and have lots of nice glass then you may be better off going full frame and aming for a 5D, whereas if you're more into sports/wildlife the superior AF and FPS rate of the 7D may be more suitable.

Personally I haven't looked back..... well tell a lie I did. Took my old 400D on holiday and everytime I used it I wished I'd taken my 7D

Hi, I currently have the sigma 10-20 the canon 50mm 1.1.8 canon 55-250, 18-55 kit lens and the canon 28-135.
