Looking at getting either a gimbal head or a ring flash for my birthday, hopefully both if i can sweet talk her who wants to be obeyed. Can you blokes help out please.

With regrads to the gimbal, I have a D5200, Benro tripod and the lenses i will be using are Sigma 150-500mm and 70-200 f2.8. However i intend to invest in a prime and a full frame in the future so would like to ‘future proof’ as much as possible.

I would like to say price no object, but am looking at between 100 to 150 quid.

I have looked around at such makes as Lens Master, ( RH-1 and 2 and T1 Traveller,), Manfrotto 393 and several on Amazon, though am dubious about the latter as a lot seem to be Chinese grey imports.
I already have a Manfrotto ball head with an RC2 quick release plate on my tripod and, optimistically, would like to find a gimbal which has a fitting that will take this.
Finally, it would be nice if I could flip from portrait to landscape.

As for the ring flash, it will be about the same price as above. Have no idea if LED is better as a continuous light or should i go for the ‘standard’ type flash?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Gimbal head.

IIRC most of the 70-200 f/2.8 lenses and the 150-500 have tripod collars which will take care of the landscape/portrait flipping. You can get a plate to accept the RC2 QR plates so any fitting can be adapted to suit. As for the choice available for gimbals and ring flashes, sorry, can't help.
