Birds On Your Phone.

HTC Android phones that is.

I've downloaded UKBirds from Android Market. It's a freebie field guide of UK birds for your mobile phone.It's not that comprehensive yet, but I've already had an update adding a bunch more birds, so it will obviously become more comprehensive. Good, but basic info about the birds with pics to aid identification and recorded songs and calls too.

Anyone know of any better ones for Android - freebie or otherwise?

You can load the files from the disc that came with the 'Bird' book you were recommending to us a while back, that has both song and images.

Cedric, Bird Guides do one for the iPhone and iPad, don't know if it's of any use to you or even if it's any good..

Thanks for that I do have an iPad, but not a iPhone, it's going to have to be for an android phone - which I'm kind of partial to.

I'll grab that for the iPad though!

I put the sound tracks onto my Nokia X6, havent tried to put the images on though, the bird calls work fine

I'll check it out anyway. Applications for android are going to be enormous before long so no doubt there'll be plenty of choice eventually.

They were in mp3 format, or were once I dragged them all onto my Mac, I simply dragged them on to my phones memory card, with my old Nokia I only got the calls, with my new Nokia C3 I get the images as well.

I'll have a look at that then Martyn. I seem to remember the green one (Ven) crowing they were only compatible with his green iPhone.
