Does anything eat this stuff ? It doesn't attract anything to my feeders at all. They come along take one look at it and fly away again

Buying decent sunflower hearts transformed the numbers and varieties of birds in my garden.
Now if only the damn squirrels would........................:bonk:

I did consider the lead poisoning route but I live in a suburban area.

Thanks chaps, I may have found a solution. I steeped the seed in hot water for 15 minutes to soften it and it's now being guzzled very happily. I doubt that I'm doing the critters any harm.

I do use sunflower hearts pretty regularly but thought I'd give this stuff a try. Happy to render it at least edible
