Hi folks

from today's daily telegraph, an awesome story with photos - sent a shiver down my spine!

What was it Bill Bryson said about Australia? He notes that all the most dangerous animals in the world, and unique ones, all live on or around this one island. That if it is not venomous or poisonous, it can eat you or give you a serious beating....

Don't click if you're an arachnophobe!

Oh.... always last to the party....

still, I've handled a mexican red-kneed tarantula, which was large but definitely of the 'fat and hairy' variety of spiders... deceptively light in my hand, I expected it to be heavier..

But this orb spider is an altogether more frightening beast - and if I was confronted by this, I'd run a mile - and I have no problem with our eight legged friends...
