i have a friend who is having a nature weekend at his recently started garden nursery on the 22nd of September and he is having a competition for the best bird picture taken, with a prize of £50 to the winner.
I dont do bird pictures, but there are plenty on this forum who do, so i am asking for donations of bird pictures to add to the competition, as its a new venture for him and the centre is hardly known to the locals.
i will put the senders name into the comp should you wish, and also could you please give a name to the bird, as i am not a twitcher.
i will print out the pictures for him to hang in the centre for judging.

i have just re-read what i put in the post, and it sounds really bad, the truth is i didn't have time and just rushed it.
ok , let me start again now i have more time, a friend of mine has recently opened a garden nursery in Burton and is unknown to many of the locals there, so in order to gain more visitors he has decided to hold a competition for the best bird picture on show there, with a £50 prize to the winner.
He has asked me if i can get a couple of pictures of birds over to him so basically it looks like someone has bothered to enter, but as many on here know, i haven't got the equipment to photograph birds, so i am asking really for competiton entries, or just plain photos for him, he has plenty of bird food stands there, all rights will be honoured to the tog, and their name will be on the photograph (promise).
I am sorry it sounded so bad to begin with, to me it sounded like i was asking for pictures for me to enter for myself, couldn't be futher from the truth. Anyway. i hope i can get a responce from someone at least.

Hi feel free to use any of the pics in my Martin Mere set on flickr, here. Assuming you have a flickr account then the large size should print out ok on A4. If not, let me know

holy smoke, these are absolutely fabulous. I have printed out a few tonight just to see them, and wow they turned out great. For those pictures that haven't got a name on them, i have added your siggy to it via CS2 before printing. I will finish up tommorow then hopefully send them over to him after the weekend, i will post photos of them on show shortly afterwards and keep you all updated as to how it went and who won what.
You guys have done me a great service tonight, and i thank you all..

got them all together now, final printing today and i will post them off monday morning. The competition is on the 22nd sept, but if you allow, he would love to keep the pictures up for the kids to look at, and it also makes them buy food to feed them and gives awareness to nature.

Hi Ven, :wave: lovely to here from you again, i do pop in here from time to time just to see the brilliant photos being displayed by the members. I may even show someof my own soon, as the wife and i are off to Sewerby and Bempton cliffs shortly for a 2 day break.

UPDATE
The Nature weekend and competiton will be held on Sat/Sun 22nd &23rd Sept.
He has told me that the RSPB will be in attendance, and he has a Falconry display booked with a Golden Eagle in attendance, (god wish i could go).
