I was walking through a forestry commission plantation and disturbed this bird of prey. It made a heck of a commotion (it flew up to the tree from the ground after some violent thrashing of wings) and was quite large and distinctly grey in colour. I was so surprised, my initial thought was 'what the heck is that heron doing here', until I was able to take this shot and zoom in 200% on the screen. Is it a Goshawk?
