Bird disturbance : ID appeal

Well it's not a 300mm with a 2x

And he's wayyy too big for Bill Oddy

A poor bit of behavior by the photographer but off the top of my head i can think of

Poisoned baited pigeon's
Being shot
Egg collectors

They all end in the destruction or death of the bird so just putting things in context, i know a lot of togs that don't have a schedule 1 license but still photograph them.
Unfortunately i can trump your story with a true Yorkshire BOP persecution story that sums up my part of the country.

That other people do worse isn't much of a defence for photographer's not to strive for good field-craft. It's all the more puzzling given that you'd expect wildlife photographers should actually care about their subjects so would want to by sympathetic in their behaviour.

The mere act of photographing schedule 1 birds isn't what triggers the need for a licence, but poor fieldcraft and obstinancy will only see restrictions further against us.
