Hi Guys,

At the moment I am using SanDisk 1GB Extreme III compactflash cards in my Nikon D2H camera. But, I would like to start using alot bigger cards in my D2H without any problems !

If you could provide some suggestions, that would be very helpful !

Thankyou,

Paul

I've just ordered a Sandisk Extreme III 4gb from Picstop.co.uk - £44.90

Have a look at the integral range.
I have four of their cards and haven't had a problem with any of them.

do you have / have you considered a portable card reader / storage unit? I have 1x4gb, 3x2gb, 4x1gb and still take the jobo with me.

I had one afew years ago, but I dropped it and it broke and never got around to replace it ! I may think about getting another one...

Hi Paul, I have a D2h as well and shoot RAW, one of the first things I learned if your shooting sports, I am assuming here after looking at your website, is don't use large cards and fill them up. Use smaller cards.
Why, wait till the first time you get home and the card goes duff and you loose all the shots you take. Use more smaller and spread your shots. Its a lesson learned the hard way.

cheers

Cheers Iain.
Now, I am thinking about getting some more 1GB cards and a portable storage device.

Thanks again guys,

Paul

I use the new Lexar Pro 4Gb cards (80x) and have had no dramas so far. I tested the retrieval software that came with the card by taking a few test shots (RAW/NEF), formatting the card twice and seeing if it could get any of them back. All 50 were retrieved successfully.
I get 195 indicated exposures on a D2x, which is about right for the kind of work I (used to) do... *sob*
I could use a 4Kb card for the dross I do here now... :suspect:

I only use lexar 133x cards in my D2x, never had a single problem with a lexar card so I stick with them.
