Yes, I know there are several of these threads now, but they're all well deserved! I'd decided to go the 'Hong Kong route' to get the best prices on a Nikon flash and cable, but I was advised to see what kind of deal Kerso could do me.

Anyway, he sorted me out the goods dirt cheap, easy bank transfer of money for payment and the gear arrived special delivery within a couple of days!! Thanks Kerso!

He's the best on the web for these deals in my opinion. very personable and will try to sort out any issues you have pre and post purchase.

I need to speak to him soon as I've not had a chat for a while (trying not to spend more money)!! This has reminded me! :)

Jim, Thanks for that. Canon UK rebates are out now and anyone buying will get a UK invoice to make it even better prices. Speak soon. Ian.

Just received my third lens purchase off Kerso........excellent service as usual.

Many thanks Ian

kerso aka Ian can be found on ebay via his shop 'flash camera'.

He does very good deals both on and off ebay, very trustworthy and reliable, virtually everyone around has had dealings with him.

think the only criticism i have ever heard levelled at Ian is sometimes he can be slow to reply to emails, and then there havent been many of them, have never experienced that myself hes been very prompt when i have asked him for prices and stuff :)

So as long as you remember to allow more than 15 minutes for an email, he will get back to you pretty smartish ! :)

hes does get loads of emails, so you do have to cut him a bit of slack, now and again.

Yup, Id go along with these comments, just got a 100/400 from him. Has anyone tried to get a rebate? I intend to when I get back in a couple of days, but my concern is, reading Canon's conditions, they say "lens supplied by Canon in Europe" (I'm paraphrasing what I think I read, don't have the orig. with me).So Ian's stuff wouldn't qualify. However even without the rebate, it's a great deal. Thanks .
George

Thanks, Ian, I'll give it a go

actually i think the exact wording was "must have been purchased in the UK/Europe" and as Ian's invoices are addressed in Scotland it shouldnt be a problem at all ! as long as they havent changed the wording ! :)

I got a reply at about 4am after ordering a remote at 3:30am: it doesn't get much better than that, heh.

15 minutes? :annoyed: Outrageous! Back to Jessops for me lol

Bought a Canon 70 200 4L IS fom Kerso and confirm all the positives quoted above. WRT the Canon cashback, is it sufficient to send back the "stick on" code from the product box, or must it be the code(s) printed on the box? Sorry if this sounds a bit crazy but I want to keep the box intact in the (unlikely!) event that I sell the lens.
Any help appreciated.

Think you have to cut out the bar code  ........I've just done it today and sent it off along with Ian's receipt.

Thanks for that P-E
At least the £80 rebate makes up for the hole in the box!

Don't cut it out just yet Jayess.....hopefully someone else will confirm it for you ;)

NO don't cut the box, peel the label off, and stick to a piece of card. (as thats the bit with the serial number on it)

Would also say thanks Ian (Kerso), As another of them special boxes arrived at my front door today, (when can we have outer packing with the red line around it). Containing :-

Thanks Ian for the Great service and price.

I'll be back - soon for something else.

And there was good reason behind that, which was only for a few days. If I remember rightly, it was due to someone in Kerso's family being taken ill...

I've never had any delay issues, be it email (normally answered within minutes) or delivery of goods (quickest was following day)

Very strange all mine have been stuck on, as they stick them on with the serial number of the lens on them.

As the boxes are printed on mass for canon.

the circled sticker is all i send in for cash back and never been refused

I thought it had to be the bar code printed on the box :bonk:

Thanks for all the feedback on the Canon cashback issue.
I'll send the stick-on label and post the result for others:)
