Big Cat Sanctuary - Kent , What lens ?

I'm going on the Kelack outing in July and as it's my birthday month it could be time for another lens .

Has anybody been before that could give me an idea on length of lens etc that would 'fit' with my existing stuff ? I don't care about manufacturer as long as it's got good reviews

What would sit nicely on a 30D, cost under £300 and give good results for the Cats ?

I've already got :-

18-55 kit lens, 50mm f/1.8 and a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8.


Any pointers most appreciated

the 70-200 will be nearly perfect for the day just need a 1.4 converter for it just in case ?

I would say 100-400 but a bit outside your budget unfortunately !

I'll be surprised if I use more than 2Gb (got 12Gb), I seem to be getting ultra picky with my shots :shrug:

Still got a carp hit rate though :thumbsdown:
