Our two shower cubicles have identical bi-fold doors and the hinge part on one of them has broken. I can't remember the make and there is no name on the doors or surround and I was enough of a numpty when they were put in not to keep the paperwork.

I don't want to shell out for a whole new door unit when apart from the bits that are broken the rest of the unit is fine. I'd really like to just buy the parts but without knowing the make I'm stymied. I've looked on line but can't see the correct part. The doors are a few years old but I'm hoping they are still being made.

The photos show the door which is OK. It is the plastic hinge bit between the doors on the other door which is broken.

Grateful if anyone can tell me the make of these.

Thanks

Dave

do you remember were you bought them, they may still sell them, if not the identical ones but some from the same manufacturor

Think you might strugle. Something similar happened to us and even though we new the name and model we couldn't get spare parts. We were told that manufacturers only produced limited runs of spare parts and then redesigned their ranges. Intentionally - we were told - so that once a unit was broken then Joe Public had to buy a complete new unit. Don't know if that's true!

Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the store. It was online so no physical building to try and recall. I can imagine lines being redesigned, so far online I haven't found any that have the same shaped handle as ours.

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to reply.

I'll try and find out for you- I replaced these very hinges on a shower door quite recently!

You're unlikely to find a replacement part. The manufacturers change their designs constantly, most parts being sourced from China.
It's generally only the expensive units that you can get parts for. The parts tend to be solid brass, not plastic.

Tringa / stevetiler - did you manage to find out how to replace these? Exact same thing has happened to me.
Cheers!

Unfortunately not. The only solution I found was to shell out the money on another door.
