Betws Y Coed

Its off i wish the welsh would pick easier names haha looks like scrabble. Im guessing at f4.2 the picture isnt going to be sharp front to back. Its difficult really to see though as its a small image. The foreground is rather dark also. What processing have you done to this? Because it has that pushed feel to it? The composition isnt bad but for me the exposure is a little off.
Can i ask what made you use f4?

And finally i understand why people use watermarks but yours is very dark and also unreadable. I think its a terrible font to choose personally amd also lower the opacity so it doesnt stick out so much.

Hope thats not to harsh

Not to Harsh at all, i appreciate any comments that could make my photography that little bit better. I used F/4.2 as i was getting a colour cast as you can probably see across the centre of the image. I have read it has that cast because i had Auto White balance on in my settings. The image was 3 images at different exposure blended in photoshop. Point taken about the watermark and i will change that.

Regards

Archie

One pointer with the cast. If its only accross the middle of the image my guess would be you need to cover your viewfinder as it sounds like its light bleed. I get this alot with my d7100.

Thanks for the tip Phil, thats the same camera as i use, i will have to get cover for it.

Woo helped someone on the forum haha. Pop by see what ya think of some of my shots on fb. Nice to know that you think

Nice shot Archie, i love that burst of autumn colour right in the center of the shot. I like the slow speed shutter release here (But watch out the shutter speed police dont get you;)) Nice gentle colours here contrasting against the rocks and misty water movement. Like you said you can see that colour cast, which is a pain. I get light leaking in the back if i forget to shut down my D700. Worth blanking off if it stops the cast, it happens on most cameras, fortunately the 700 has a built in blind (if i remember to shut it off). Were you using a stopper? sometime you get light leaking in behind them and the front element that can cause a cast too.
All the best
Steve
