What is the best way to get rid of deep scratches that are down to the metal and light scratches? I have looked at touch up pens but wondering what other people have used?

Light scratches can be fixed with T-Cut and polish, but deeper ones will need to be filled/sanded/levelled. That is of course if you're talking about a car and not your camera? ;)

This is the talk photography forum ... perhaps he's on about his tintypes ...?

Hmm, I recommend caution before using T-Cut - make sure the lens coating is paint.

Many newer lenses are hard anodised rather than painted in which case all an abrasive like T-Cut will do is damage the anodising and not repair the scratch.
