Best way to deal with portrait orientation shots for wedding blog?

Hi all,

Now when it comes to posting vertical shots on wedding blogs, many people seem to go down the route of having 2 next to each other, occupying the same space as a standard landscape shot. This looks good in my opinion. I'm aware of various ways of doing this but i'm wondering what the best 'go to' method for quickly and effectively achieving this is, using photoshop or lightroom or a 3rd party app perhaps?
