Best way to clean camera controls???

I would use something like Servisol switch cleaner on a toothbrush.
 
Thanks Dave. I've been in touch with Lehmann's in Stoke (camera repairers) and they don't use a spray but take apart and clean the contacts, although they did recommend a blow out with an air line. I've got a air compressor and will try that then I'll look into the Servisol cleaner that you've reccomended.
 
Be careful with the compressor, can do a bit of damage if it's too powerful.
 
I would never spray anything directly onto the component (it tends to go over parts you don't want it to ;)).

If you do decide to try yourself, my method is to spray a small amount of the contact cleaner onto the toothbrush and then use that to clean with.
