Looking to for a TV for slideshows so would prefer a comboDVD, but which type??? Plasma - LCD - LED :gag:

Anybody have an idea which is best.

Thanks.

Steve

Either LCD or LED, but unless its a calibrated monitor I wouldnt imagine it would make much difference to which one you went for.

You'd want to resize the photos to fit the screen as best as they can though.

I wouldn't bother with one that needs a DVD in this age either. Find one that can read USB sticks.

question, why a comboDVD?
if you do then typically you're looking at a poorer quality TV. not all the time but, often
and if you wish to present photos from a DVD then I think that's a poor job too.
if the two are linked then get a samsung or similar which will play your jpeg photos from a pendrive at full resolution. by definition a DVD will not be in HD.
if it's just for playing movies? then nevermind :)

Just make sure it's got a 1080 minimum resolution
Thanks stew, I'm just getting into presenting my work so any info is very helpful, cheers.

Yep, after a little research I'm finding this the way to go, thanks DemiLion.

Thanks DizMatt, no, it's not for playing movies lol, I hear ya, it is in fact for my shop window, I have a lot of passing trade and I want to present different slide shows that run thought the day.

DVD combo is now out
LCD or LED for slide shows via USB
