For my christmas present i was lucky enough to be given a photography day at the Big Cat Centre in Smarden Kent.

I was wondering what time is best to do the day? Im sure ive read on here before lots of people doing one of these courses, so would really appreciate the advice.

I have the option of mid august shooting 1.30pm-4pm and 5pm-7pm (sunset on this day is 8.26pm)

or start of September 10.30am-1pm and 2pm-4pm (sunset this day 7.45pm)

Many Thanks

Matt Wright

If you dont get any replies in here might be worth ringing the centre itself and asking a warden/ranger/assistant there for advice?

I did that and they seemed to think it wouldnt really matter!! Just wanted to see if anyone here had a preference?

Thanks

Oh dear. Only other think I can think of is try googling on 'smarden big cat photography' and see if anything turns up!

Good luck.

For the space of a couple of weeks I would not think it makes much difference as you have to take pot-luck with the weather anyway. I would tend to go for the first one and then if anything happened so that I could not go might have chance to change it to the second :)

I expect you will enjoy it whichever you choose
