I've never had a problem with 7dayshops 2800mah ones, cheap and perform well, they even come in a handy plastic container that can be clipped together.

Eneloop. Period.

Never seen the thermal cut out work yet and I have an external battery pack connected too.
Is that a model?
I Googled 'Eneloop Period' but with no joy
But I did find this... http://www.batterycity.co.uk/2_x_sa....html?osCsid=2e1cb700aa64bc3f02db9a356ab58369 is that the ones you guys (Ryanboy esp.) use???
And is it just me or does the thermal cut-out on the SB900 suck

BTW the ones in your link are the ones![]()

Cheers - and YES it was a joke - just a crap one obviously
My current ones are Energizer 2450nmh - they need a full charge the day before (if not of) a shoot and don't last as long as some Duracells I have as back-up. Hence of late I've just used alkaline batteries instead - hardly a big expense in the scheme of things at about £5 per Wedding, but if a more useful rechargeable is available then I'm all for it

Do it! You'll be glad you did![]()

That's more related to how much light (thus heat) the flash is outputting, not the temperature of the batteries.
Regardless of what batteries you use, even if you're using an external power pack, enough full power flashes is gonna make you hit that temp warning.![]()
On your head be it - but I just ordered 12 batteries & a charger
Just checked where you live too, in case I need to send the 'boys' round

I have been pleased with the Eneloop batteries. Work well in my flash and seem to last for ages.
Eneloop for mr every time. they only lose 10% of their charge over a year.
