Hey Guys

I'm after hiring a Canon 35mm f1.4 lens for a few weddings I have coming up. As they're an expensive lens, I'm wanting to hire before I can afford to buy one.

I found www.lensesforhire.co.uk with the lens for £65 for a weeks rental.

Has anybody used a hire service before?

That is StewartR on here ... I have never hired a lens from them, however I have never seen anything other than glowing reports from those that have.

Absolutely nothing to fear with LensesforHire IMO, first rate service from start to finish every time I've dealt with them.
 
I've rented three or four times with LFH and they provide a first class service.

Yep September last year. Excellent service and would have no problem recommending them to anyone.

I hired a Canon 70-200 2.8 L IS plus x1.4 and took it to Belgium for a long weekend. No deposit required.

Lens and converter came in a very sustainable flight case with dual padlocks. As far as I could tell the lens was brand new.

Returning was a doddle as you reuse the flight case and pay the postage at the Post Office.

Easy.

It's good to know you can hire lens' that you can't actually afford, or try before you buy!

Stewart & LFH provides a great service, and I had no issues at all, even when I needed to extend my hire because I lost track of the return date :thumbs:
