Best Place to Buy CS4

Hi all,

I have been trailing CS4 and really love it. I am now wanting to buy it as I am fed up with Photoshop Elements I like the extra power CS4 does.

The best price I seen it for is £545. shame I am not a student to get student price but do any of you know if £545 is the best out there?

I have been looking on ebay to see if there is any CS3 going for cheap as I be happy with that then upgrade to CS4 later.
 
Thailand apparently :D costs about a fiver.
 
I would have thought it was cheaper to upgrade as you already have elements?

Edit: just been on the adobe site and it's £477 for the upgrade version of CS4 from Elements
 
I bought CS3 through ebay for £170 just before Christmas 2007. It was a sealed boxed copy from the US.

The problem now is the exchange rate, the saving just isn't as great.
 
I bought Photoshop CS4 recenty from http://uktechstore.com and paid £409.00.

Price has since dropped now to £399.00!

Pro service and fast delivery.
 
If you can 'make do' with CS3, it's £220 on Amazon. As with most photographic equipment Ican only afford to be at least one step behind the latest technology LOL.

As far as I know and thats not much, the student versions are complete but aren't licensed for commercial use. :thinking:

Hi Mate

I would be happy to have CS3 but that on Amazon is only Windows.. I am a Mac user. Anyway if anyone knows where I can get CS3 for Mac then point me in the direction please
 
hi - i also would like to buy CS4 but its very expensive on most sites. i have tried to download the trial version from adobe and it would only go as far as download manager which took 2 hours! i gave up after 3 attempts! i have elements 5 at the moment, would i definitely be able to upgrade to CS4 for cheaper - does anyone know for sure? also, ive looked at web retailers offering "plug ins" - what are they, does anyone know? thanks in advance. Jen
