Just missed out on a really cheap 550Dbut got me thinking, whats the best photography based bargain you have ever got or just missed out on?
£1425 for the at the time relatively recently released 70-200 VRII. Part of a wider purchase but it was an awesome lens and a good price at the time.
On a non photography note, a few years back, I once slammed on the anchors passing an out of town small time dealer who had an old Porsche 911 for sale for £2200. Thinking they didn't know what they had (?:shrug
as it was very atypical I quickly went across to buy there and then. It was as I got nearer that I saw the zero had fallen off- I continued my ride...donkey
