Hi guys my grandfather asked me today if i could print on of my landscape shots onto a waterproof / plastic surface so he could mount it into a kitchen top.

Im not sure if this is possible or how who would do such a thing? what he wants is a print on a hard surface such as plastic to be mounted into a kitchen top, this will have to be waterproof and hard wearing to allow it to be used as it will be next to the sink.

Is this even possible?

I seem to remember a while back it was popular to get prints done on placemats... must be something like that that can do the trick. Or maybe a print could be sandwiched under a clear coating.

Dye Sublimation photo prints ( which can go from 6x4" up to 8x12") are produced on a lamintae coated finish

You will seee these coming out of Photo Kiosks , the type that are in Boots, ASDA, etc.

They are waterproof.
