I'm looking at going up to Norfolk one weekend depending on the weather as always to capture some of the windmills there, so wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction for the more photogenic ones.

Google search or google images search

Contact a local photography club via the internet, maybe meet some new friends in the process

Try the tourist board (might be called Visit Norfolk or similar) or tourist information

The windmill in the background is at Weybourne on the A149 Titfield Thunderbolt-21.jpg

Cley next the sea windmill is a particularly nice one, the are also some in the 'Burnhams', a group of villages on the north Norfolk coast not far from Brancaster.

I stayed at Cley Mill last year.
It's not so good to photograph close up because of the local clutter and general accessibilty:

If you take a walk you can get a better view.

I'm revisiting the area in a few weeks and want to visit some more of their windmills.
There is a useful guide here http://www.norfolkmills.co.uk/windmills.html

Don't know where in Norfolk you are going but here are a few more -

Bircham Windmill,
The Tower Mill at Burnham Overy Staithe,
Berney Arms Windmill,
Stow Mill at Parston,
Turf Fen Mill at Barton Turf.

Its a good few years since I was last in Norfolk so things might changed but if not these stand well.

A great picture at Weybourne but I am not sure it's not due to the penetration, at last, of the Great Western Railway. (My first love.)

This picture illustrates the flatness of the county which I have found difficult to illustrate for myself.

Not sure what part of Norfolk your visiting but there's Brograve, Thurne and Herrringfleet which is just in Suffolk. Give us a shout if you need any other help.

Of you could look here.

Try Chris Herrings small book Spirit of Norfolk windmills for some inspiration or alternatively his web site
