I have a Manfrotto monopod, but need a head. Any recs for something that is easy to adjust and manouverable ? Won't be taking a huge weight.

I'll be watching the replies with interest, cos I need one to.
Its a pain taking the adaptor of to use the monopod

One of these: http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-manfrotto-234rc-monopod-tilt-head-with-quick-release/p11019 ?

You can use them in 'normal' tilt 'mode' or turn the plate 90 degrees to make portrait/ landscape changes.

[There's a AS type variant as well: http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy...-head-with-kirk-quick-release-plate/p1523569]

:plusone:

If you don't need the quick release plate then the even cheaper http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-manfrotto-234-monopod-tilt-head/p11018

I think the very best are the Custom Brackets heads. Very expensive though.

I use a Manfrotto MH054M0-Q2. Admittedly it's well overkill for a monopod, but I wanted something that I could also use on my tripod as well, which could hold a good bit of weight.

There is two versions of the Manfrotto 234RC, is #1 the newer version?

Thanks all. I've ordered a 234RC, that's about the price I was after.

The Really Right Stuff and MH054 looks good, but not in budget unfortunately.
