Best Free Edit Software

Hi all,

I'm looking for something to replace Windows Live Movie Maker as it can't play the HD video shot on my DSLR and have very little money as I work seasonally and currently have a budget of nout

What would you recommend?

I was being cheeky,

I've never used it but I'm told 'Gimp' is good and free.

I have gimp on my computer already as I used it to edit images before I got Elements 10 at christmas, I never knew it could play videos

You can get 30 day trials of Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro and Premier - thats 3 months of pro editing applications. Good experience too, get proficient on any one of these and you may find yourself a job.
